New Balance, the world’s top-ranked sports footwear manufacturer in the world was founded over a century ago in 1906 as the New Balance Arch Support Company. The manufacturer is now named New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. Unlike most of their competitors, New Balance is still manufacturing footwear in the United States despite rising production costs. The only domestic shoemaker still producing American-made athletic footwear today.
