Merrell footwear was founded more than 27 years ago in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont in a small town named Waitsfield, (population 1,659). Merrell boots are now popular worldwide. The company is currently owned by Wolverine Worldwide based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Merrell claim they are committed to continuing the “The New Outdoor” evolution. Also, while under license with Patagonia footwear, Merrell footwear designs and produces additional footwear products.
